Can Hemlock Hill Design efficiently work with companies in other states?
Yes. Thanks to DSL, FTP, and PDF capabilities, work files can be transferred almost instantaneously. HHD's location does not hinder the ability to meet quick deadlines. This studio currently works with clients from Maine to Arizona.

What programs are used at the studio?
HHD is a Mac powered studio utilizing the programs Quark XPress, PhotoShop, Illustrator, Flash, DreamWeaver and Acrobat.

How many people work at Hemlock Hill?
Currently, the studio is a one-person operation, which works to the advantage of HHD's clients. Low overhead means the ability to make prices more affordable. Plus, many clients prefer establishing a solid partnership with one designer, as opposed to having a project passed from person to person in a large design firm.

Does Hemlock Hill Design handle web hosting?
No. Typically, the client will be asked to research their hosting company of choice, and then set up their own web hosting account and domain name. When a website job is completed here, the client will give HHD access to the host server at which time the files will be posted and the site will be launched. A few recommended hosting companies can be found in resources.

Does Hemlock Hill Design include Search Engine Optimization (SEO) with web design services?
No. When it comes to websites, HHD only completes the services of web design, HTML creation, Flash production (where applicable), upload of site files to the host server via FTP. HHD will submit the site to the web's most popular search engine, Google, but SEO with other major search engines will be the responsibility of the client (you). Does Hemlock Hill Design handle printing services?
No. HHD just fulfills the service of design. When a job is complete and ready to be printed, HHD submits digital files to the printer of the client's choice. HHD includes press proofing as part of the design package. The client would be invoiced by HHD and the printer separately. If you do not have a printer in mind, some recommended printing companies can be found in resources.

Can I get references from past clientele before hiring HHD for a project?
